One of the best compliments I get as lecturer is that I bring a lot of energy to the room and get my audience enthusiastic about the importance of their work and efforts helping young people learn and grow.

Energy and enthusiasm have three sides. One is what you as a teacher and leader bring into the room and the work place. Two is recognizing how your energy and enthusiasm affects the students and colleagues. Three is recognizing when students are energized and enthusiastic – in and outside of the classroom.

Do you know when your students find energy and enthusiasm outside of the classroom? Find out. Give that some recognition.
